My interesting birthday gift
« on: May 20, 2014, 11:31:17 AM »
Another birthday come and gone (a while back).  One of the benefits of my daughter having a real job is that she now buys me gifts I don't know are coming.  She's done really well lately.  Pebble watch is much more awesome than I expected.

Then there's this which I wasn't sure what to make of at first, but it's grown on me.  (This isn't mine, but it's one that looks pretty much exactly the same).  Not sure I'd ever want AU to wear this, but it looks pretty good on the shelf in my new office.

Very striking and eye catching.

My only objection to adding an orange helmet to one of the existing white or blue uniforms would be that we would look too much like Syracuse.

I agree.  I'm sure it does look great on your bookshelf, but I would not want to see that on the players' heads.

I'd never want us to wear it. Unless Cam said we should.  But I do like it on the shelf.  It was probably a Clemson or Syracuse helmet somebody stripped and reworked I bet.

I liked the Navy ones that were posted a few years back.  Although I still don't know that I would want to see them on a players head.

Now orange jerseys...

I think that was a Cal helmet reworked with Auburn colors.

I wouldn't mind the orange helmet. Just as long as it was matched with an orange jersey, orange pants, orange socks and orange shoes, and a navy belt.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
