Unions and Socialists Hurting Themselves

When the future unemployed aircraft workers are looking for jobs while Boeing is building 777x's in either Huntsville or Charleston they can look to this event.

http://mynorthwest.com/76/2398157/Socialist-Seattle-city-councilwoman-says-workers-should-take-over-Boeing-and-make-buses

Quote
People say to me all the time, Monson, you sound like you don't like unions, and my answer is, in the private sector, people are free to do whatever they want to do. I don't like public unions because things like the teachers' union I think is a destructive force in education. But also the unions have become inextricably tied to the Socialist and Communist movements in America. And that's not hyperbole, that's an absolute fact.

So there was a rally for Boeing Machinists in Westlake Park on Monday and they invited the first Socialist to be elected to the Seattle City Council, Kshama Sawant, and what happened, as captured by KIRO TV, was pure insanity.Everybody needs to hear who dim-witted Seattle voters have elected to run the city.

According to the KIRO TV report, here's what Sawant said at the rally: "The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeing's profit-making machine."

She also said Boeing threatening to move the 777X jobs to other states amounts to "nothing short of economic terrorism because it's going to devastate the state's economy."

So making a business deal and saying we can build these planes a lot cheaper in South Carolina, where it's a right-to-work state, that's economic terrorism? No it's not; it's called great business. If you're running a company and you can build your product elsewhere for a lot cheaper, that's not terrorism.

She's calling the Boeing company terrorists. You're calling a major employer in our region a bunch of terrorists? That's a good way to keep the company here. That's a brilliant strategy, new Socialist Seattle City Councilwoman.

"The only response we can have if Boeing executives do not agree to keep the plant here is for the Machinists to say the machines are here, the workers are here, we will do the jobs, we don't need the executives," said Sawant.

I'm sorry, this is insane. This is your newest Seattle City Councilwoman who says the workers at Boeing need to take over the plants, and get rid of all the execs. This is unbelievable.

"We are the ones doing it anyway and we can retool the machines to produce mass transit instead of destructive war machines," Sawant explained. for the record, Boeing doesn't build military aircraft in the Seattle plant with the exception of a few tanker's

I don't know a lot about what kind of machines they have to build airplanes at Boeing. According to our new Socialist Seattle Councilwoman, we can just retool the machines, and all of a sudden a bus comes out instead of an airplane.

So the Boeing workers are going to take over the plant, they're going to get rid of all the execs, and they're going to retool the machines so that buses come out.

This is the craziest thing I've ever heard in local politics. I am so glad right now that Seattle voters elected this woman. Gosh, this is going to be fun the next four years!

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Unions have far outlived their usefulness.

As long the Dems are in power they will always have seat at the table.

Union folks are too stupid to see the reps are killing them. (See Dolly Madison)

But I agree with you.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

Was working with a guy the other day. Impressive young man. Knows his stuff when it comes to business, products, etc.

Psychology degree UAB, yadda, yadda. I'm with him most of the day, so the conversation delves into, politics, religion and world affairs. He's 38 yrs old believes that today is the best time ever for Unions, healthcare bill was a must have, is an atheist and Hillary is our next president. He's not from San Francisco--from North Alabama. He is our immediate future and truly believes he's the smartest guy in the room. I think he's representative of why Obama is in office today.

He told me that he believed that it was unjust for a factory owner to live in a million dollar home and his workers not be able to afford healthcare. I see the point and it may be. Where we differ is that I think that the factory owner can live and make whatever and wherever in the copulate he wants to. The workers do not have to work there. We have a minimum wage law to address minimum wage. We do not need a union for that. He gets quiet for a minute.

I also pointed out that if he were ever responsible for the taxes, workers comp, liability and insurance associated with having the employees that he would likely have a different perspective because real world is a whole lot different than the books he'd been reading. And that the owner was the one that at least at some point in his life risked far more than the workers in the creation of the factory. He didn't appreciate my comment. Later said that "we call people that vote with their pocket books, assholes". To which I replied, "Then 90+% of the voters in this country are assholes then."

I will work with him but the little mofo better stay off my lawn.

You could always just pull the race card, accuse him of racism, and get him fired.
