I love the look of those old tin cans. I served a lot of time on Spruance and Arleigh Burke Class destroyers, and loved every minute of it, but I would have given anything to go to sea on a WWII destroyer or a battleship.

The old Sumner and Fletcher classes were the best, our tin can would rock 'n roll tied up in port.  Our skipper had sailed into Mobile with Farragut, been there done that.  A REAL sailor.

Screw you guys. Building them damn submarines is the hardest job I ever had. Eight hous underwater every day. Shit got old I tell ya!

Hey, I lasted more three hours on a 900+ foot Roll-on, Roll-off. More like three months, while it was docked at BAE Systems.
