So I had a chance to meet the best manager in the bigs on Saturday night during a fund raiser. We talked about Glavine coming back to the Braves (which was officially announced today), getting tossed from games, and whether or not next year would be his last (which he didn't comment on). The man is literally one of the nicest guys I've met...it's hard to believe he's such an asshole on the field (and I wouldn't have it any other way). The fund raiser was a casino night in the 755 club at Turner Field, so I then had the pleasure of watching him lose his ass at Texas Hold 'Em. Let me tell you, it's a good thing he coaches baseball and not poker. He was betting on the shittiest hands and I was laughing my ass off. But with Glavine, Smoltz, Hudson, and Hampton (if the son of a bitch stays healthy) in the rotation next year, Bobby just might have the last laugh before he retires as the greatest manager of all time.
Shuerholz was there along with Francouer and McCann, but the former was talking all business with guys in suits and the latters were too busy keeping all the fine ass off their dicks, so I didn't get to talk any shit with them. But I did get a picture with Francouer and we both were hammered (hence the shit eating grins):
