I don't care for his delivery either. He's very arrogant.

At least Rush is entertaining. And usually correct.

I like Savage as well. And Mark Levine.

I can't stand Rush, I can listen to his show on Monday, tune back in on Thursday and he will still be harping about the same thing.  He gets old to me.  Savage, I can take him or leave him.  More often than not, leave him.  He can be a pompous ass himself, reminds me of Boortz in a way.  He can be a dickhead to callers.  I once heard him be a total dick to a guy who was a conservationist, but b/c he didn't agree with Savage about something, he was made fun of and talked to like a dog and called a enviro whack job and they guy was anything but that.   Boortz, like I said, one minute I love the guy, the next I want to drive to ATL and shoot in the face with a Bazooka.  Hannity, meh, to much Neo-Con for me.  I haven't heard one in a while that I liked enough to listen in daily.

I guffawed at that remark, AUT1!  Cheered me up this evening.

I've been listening to Rush since the beginning way back when he was on WSJS in Winston Salem, NC in 1988; I think that station was among his first group of stations when he first went national.  At this point he's like an old friend.  And he is what he is.

But for more serious political talk radio I listen to Dennis Praeger and Hugh Hewitt on Salem Radio Network (920 AM in teh ATL); I've met them both, they're very thought provoking, conservative (but not insane NOR Libertarian), and a little more elevated language and discourse.

I like Hannity but I rarely listen to his show, I expect that he's a nice guy but I have to agree with you that he's ver-ry Neo-Con.

I do catch Savage and Levine from time to time and I find them both entertaining but the time that their shows are on is not convenient.

I tell you both my favorite talk show host must be "The General" aka "Cigar Dave" on Saturday afternoons; my Saturday is simply incomplete if I've missed his show.

What about Wilkow?  I usually catch his show on Fridays, and find myself nodding along with him for the 3 hours he's on.

I've heard Wilkow before and liked his show when I did; there's so many options to listen to sometimes I forget about the good ones.  I'll have to refresh my memory as to what station he's on in Atlanta.

I think he's just on Sirius/XM Patriot.

That's probably where I've heard him before, XM.  Speaking of satellite radio I've got to mention The Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM; that is one of the wittiest and entertaining political shows I've heard on paid radio.  He is a raging "republican" with a little "r" as he constantly points out but he leans very libertarian on many issues.  I think he's based in NOLA.  Great show.

Yep.  Been a Cigar Lieutenant since 1996 when I first heard The General's original show called "Smoke This!".  He did a live broadcast from Tobacco World on Sandy Plains Rd. in Marietta last November; you ought to try and make it, Dn, next time assuming he comes back for a visit.  Lots of cigars, good food, and adult beverages were consumed that day...and night.
