Besides the diet, I have been in a workout rut for the last 6 months. Anybody have a really good routine they'd like to share? Especially a chest or shoulder workout.
Weights?
I like the boring-but-big programs. 5x5 for 4 weeks, 10-8-6-4-2 for 4 weeks, 5-3-1-10-10 for 4 weeks. One week deload with 5x5 with your 10 rep. Rinse and repeat.
Got up to bench pressing 265 as a one rep max. Standing military press max was 3 reps at 155.
I also incorporate dumbbells for chest with incline press. Didn't go too heavy though as I hate dropping dumbbells after each set.
Then weighted dips. Put on a belt and attach a 25 to it. You can angle your body forward or straight up to hit different parts of your chest and shoulders. The end of my chest day was 3x10 dips, then 1xfailure.
I'd like to find a good chest/shoulder program though that doesn't really add bulk. That's my issue. I only know how to weight lift as a football player. No idea how to do it as a runner.
