Good article on Wesley Persons.  Once you get the Orange and Blue in your blood it is there forever.

Thanks for the article. Amazing how he can love Auburn while his brother wants nothing to do with us anymore.

Oh well...I'm glad we've got Wesley on our side.

I never heard that about Chuck.  What happened?

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I never heard that about Chuck.  What happened?

Two things that I've heard.

1. He was pissed that his jersey was retired so long after Charles Barkley's even though he probably had the better college career and stayed around all 4 years. (I've heard, but can't confirm, that he wouldn't even come to Auburn for the ceremony when we did decide to retire it).

2. He wasn't consulted when Auburn hired Jeff Lebo even though Barkley was (and recommended Mike Davis).

Apparently he still carries the bitterness around with him and does not speak highly of Auburn.

Funny you bring this up.  Tarheel and I were actually at that game.  I think his wife and or daughter were there to accept it for him if I recall.  Wesley was there in person and was tearing up.

I used to play a lot of pick up ball in the summer at the ACT center.  One day Wesley and Chuck came in and started running some games.  They were always on different teams and would nearly get into a fight every day.  Hilarity would ensue.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.
