"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

My son had to read it in 7th grade Honor's English.  He also went to a production of short stories at the Alabama Theatre and saw it live.  The group that did it was quite good.

It's a great story.  I really had no idea that it was still being read in schools (or performed) mainly because of the suggestive (and actual) violence with guns, knives, dogs, Malayan man-traps, and pointy-toothed Cossacks.  I would've thought they had to read pablum about living with two dads or two mommies...but then again my mixed-race child is mostly home-schooled these days...

The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.

He could probably do it and nothing would happen.  The demographic of his class is pretty level across the board.  No one to raise a fuss.
