Add Arkansas State to the list of D1 HC vacancies...

The Red Wolves now former HC, Hugh Freeze, will be the Black Bears of Ole Miss' new HC in 2012.

IMO, Coach Malzahn should start there if he's looking to become a HC anywhere. You gotta start somewhere and it's better to not get in over your head in your first head coaching gig.

That's a damn fine idea Prowl but Kristi is used to a certain standard of living.

I don't know how great of a move that is by Ole Miss. This was Freeze's first season as a HC. I would have thought they would get somebody a little more proven, but hey, if it works for them.....turning Ole Miss around is going to be a little more difficult than turning Arkansas St. around. At least the standard is low at this point. He's almost guaranteed to improve Ole Miss next season.

They wanted USM HC Larry Fedora, but he turned them down.

Fedora is a hot name now and might land a better job as a HC or even as a big-time OC if he chooses.
His salary is around 900K with previous stops at Florida and Ok. State.

Clearly shows they simply don't give a shit about their football program now, much like UAB.
