This Is What Frazzles My Fruit of the Looms...
« on: October 06, 2011, 02:39:41 PM »
I know what The View is.  This clip is the most I've ever watched of it after somebody sent it to me today.  I know they have Whoopi and Ba Ba Wa Wa, but I'm not sure who the other ladies are. If you don't want to watch the entire 3-4 minutes, a summary goes like this.  Whoopi begins on the story of Rick Perry's hunting camp and the sign with the N word.  Even though they edit it out on this clip, Whoopi says "black" in describing what the sign said.  Ba Ba Wa Wa comments on it next and says the word as well.  This is where my undies begin to bunch.

Whoever the black chick in the middle is, comes out says it's okay when Whoopi says it....but I'm offended when Ba Ba says it.  Really?  Even theough they said it in the exact same context?  Really?

Well, she can't explain it but it just sounded wrong and she felt it throughout her body.  I believe Ba Ba asks if it's because she's white......later on, it's all good, girl.

I'm sorry, but this kind double standard, which spills over into all segments of society, just makes me sick.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

...

I have not watched the video but I heard the unedited audio of it; this is simply airing what we all know regarding the use of a particular word; it's ok for folk of African American persuasion to use it but not ok for whites regardless of the context.  No surprises there; especially from the cackling, stygian witches on The View.

The hit piece done by the Washitington Post (causing this to be the topic-du-jour by the MSM in the first place) in which the name of Gov. Perry's Hunting Camp is written several times is just that; a drive-by, MSM hit piece.  When you can't attack a persons' position on the issues you attack their character.  Perry has said that the name of this hunting camp (and, NO, I'm not going to type it...do your due diligence if you want to know what it is) was offensive to his family and they painted over the rock on which it had been painted.  The WaPo produced no witnesses nor any pictures nor a 'smoking gun' on the use of this name by Gov. Perry.  This is an attempt to politically injure Perry by associating him with an obscene name that no one is quoted as saying that he (Perry) ever used.

I don't like Perry a bit, but that Wash Post piece on his hunting land was pure slander. A drive by hit piece like you said.

I was avoiding posting anything on this subject on the X mainly because of the particular word mentioned repeatedly in the WaPo article; in hindsight glad that somebody brought it up.
