To me, he is (was) the hottest of the old Hollywood stars... kind of the male equivalent to Liz Taylor.  Put him in a tux and va...va...va...voom...

What was this thread about?
Why the Philadelphia Story of course. Grant was naturally funny with priceless expressions. Shame he did so many stinkers late in his career.

I actually have it in my top 10.

My next favorite Cary Grant movie is "Arsenic and Old Lace".

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Grant was also a casualty of parental pressure to go to Alabama. He told many people he wanted to go to AU. Instead he went to Bama as a DB

SPC. Standard Prowler Catchall. I'm guessing since you've thrown in the SPC, that this is whole thing is/was just message board fodder.

As I understand it, Grants transfer is pretty much a done deal. I think the "wait-n-see" is whether or not he will get a full release which most highly doubt he will. Even if he is a walk-on its the difference b/w sitting one year or two.

Spin it how you want, but if this is true, this shit is going to start looking bad for Saban. It will be nice to have someone on the team that can tell recruits how it really is down in Tuscaloosa...

Nor me. Between him and Blakely, we may have gained even better footing when battling bama and Florida in cruiten.

CK and Calloway could be next.

If it were true, then yes. I really doubt it is true though. It doesn't really matter to some AU fans whether it is true or not. They say it on an AU blog, it's what some AU fans want to hear/believe, and easily explained by a "Saban wouldn't let him transfer" if it doesn't happen. Win-win for those AU folks, because in their minds, it's just like it happened.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
