Rarely do I wish ill thoughts to former Auburn players.  Welcome to the G League.

Other than Broome who can bang inside we just don't have enough physical size (w Caldwell transfer) beyond Chaney Johnson to hold our own in the SEC.

We do have several slender bodied guard/forward types on the roster along with two or three incoming freshmen but our ability to play 9 or 10 just isn't there...not on paper.

With Pettiford (guard)  and Howard (Fwd/Wing) coming in as true fresh, and - Pegues/Rice (guard) and Avilia/DJ Burns (fwd) being looked at hard in the porthole, we may look better on paper than this past season. Depending on how that shakes out in the portal may dictate Pettiford's position in year 1 on the Plains (1 vs 2).

Worth noting that Burns or Avila would take the 4 spot and replace Jaylin. DJ Burns is from NOLA.

Rice played some HS Ball with Jabari Smith as well.

I wanted to see more of Card and JB on the floor at the same time.
If we can pick up a solid big man, JB can move to 4 and really make his case for the NBA.

That said - disclaimer: Rice most likely aint coming. Dude is too good to sit behind anyone at Guard. At this point we need a solid backup PG that can give 10-20 mins a game.
