TETRA is leading a search effort for a Manager of Global Supply Chain & Procurement for its North American Chemicals Division [TCNA]. This key role will support TCNA’s growth through strategic sourcing & best in class logistic needs for its Calcium Chloride and Bromines business. TETRA is looking for an aggressive leader that strives to be entrepreneurial and deliver tangible results very effectively.  Must have 10-15 years experience in progressive supply chain role. Construction and capital project management experience and a good understanding of and experience in procurement & strategic sourcing.  Familiarity with all key logistics process and paperwork required.

This person will manage a very small team in a matrix organization and will report to the VP of Operations for TCNA as well as to the Corporate VP of Global Supply Chain & Procurement.

Responsibilities:
•   Manage TCNA’s  Supply Chain & Procurement Department and be accountable for overall department spending.
•   Develop annual sourcing plans based on clear spend baseline and defined  savings targets.   
•   Work with other functional areas, such as Business Management, Manufacturing and Accounting, to develop strategies to manage division supply chain & manufacturing costs.
•   Develop and implement sourcing initiatives and ensure milestones are consistently met.
•   Plan, initiate and execute moves for the  TCNA division.
•   Communicate effectively and build relationships inside TCNA/TETRA and across GSCP.
•   Manage all project schedules and deadlines according to sourcing processes and policies.
•   Manage, develop and train  TCNA’s supply chain department.
•   Share project expertise, status, results and knowledge with other members of GSCP.

Requirements:
•   BA/BS required
•   MS and/or MBA from accredited schools desired
•   CPSM, CTL and/or  AST& L certifications valued
•   Language skills: Fluent English required; Spanish a plus.
•   Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
•   Supply Chain Management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities in logistics, capital projects, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
•   Chemical industry experience a plus
•   Experience dealing with rail road’s a plus
•   Experience with Oracle JDE platform and GLi a plus
•   Excellent computer skills on Windows platform, such as MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
•   Prior web-based e-Sourcing experience, a plus
•   Knowledge of procurement principles and processes.
•   Ability and strong motivation to plan, lead, organize, assign, supervise, train, direct and evaluate work performed by staff, ensuring all work is completed on target, timely and accurately.
•   Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).
•   Strong  time management skills.
•   Experience in project management  and the ability to manage several projects/initiatives simultaneously.
•   Self-starter, deadline and detail oriented with persuasive and follow-up skills.
•   Ability to work in a small integrated team and matrix-based organizations.
•   Proven ability to develop, negotiate & execute optimal commercial terms & conditions, administer all types of legally binding contracts for goods and services, and work with TETRA’s Legal Team  on  contracts to meet legal, statutory, policy and procedural compliance.
•   Experienced at coordinating supplier contract amendment processes, ensuring that amendments are in compliance with original statements of work and/or obligations.
•   Unequivocal work ethic and understanding of new FCPA rules and implications.
