MOBILE, Alabama -- Around 13 hours after an armed robbery was reported police had their suspect behind bars -- although they didn't know it until a week later, when he turned himself in on Wednesday.

Christopher Allen Lee Nicholas, 22, was arrested on April 2 after he allegedly stole from the Walmart on Rangeline Road, said Mobile Police Department spokeswoman Ashley Rains. He was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail around 6:15 p.m.

Around 5 a.m. that day police said he walked into the Circle K at 5575 Highway 90, also known as Government Boulevard. He held up a clerk before fleeing with cash, Rains said.

Nicholas was released on bond around 10:25 p.m. on April 2, according to booking records. Less than two hours later, just after midnight on April 3, he struck again, police said.

He attempted to rob Myers Market at 6960 Theodore Dawes Rd. Again armed with a handgun, he left empty handed after a clerk warned him that she had pressed an alarm button, Officer Terence Perkins said in a news release.

He is facing two counts of first-degree robbery after surveillance cameras caught his image during the Myers Market robbery.

With his head bowed, Nicholas offered no comment on the motive behind the robberies as he walked to a waiting car en route to Mobile County Metro Jail.

He has no other known prior arrests.

Authorities need your help finding two suspects who are accused of stealing a rifle from a Millbrook Walmart.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers say surveillance video shows a suspect walked into the Walmart on February 24 and stole a Smith & Wesson MP-15 22. Caliber rifle from a locked display case.

The video shows the unknown man as he tampered with the case over the span of about an hour, making sure to avoid contact with store employees. Investigators say the second suspect acted as a lookout.

Once the suspect opened the case, he pulled the rifle from the display and hid it on a nearby shelf. He came back later, put it under a coat the second suspect gave him, and walked out the door.

Video shows the suspects leaving the parking lot in a black sedan that investigators have not been able to identify through make or model.

The rifle Serial Number is #HBX4185

If you have any information that could help authorities track down these suspects, contact CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP immediately. You may be eligible for a cash reward.

LOS ANGELES, California-- On Saturday, scandal broke out after a tape was released to gossip website TMZ that captured Clippers owner Donald Sterling telling his then-girlfriend not to bring black people to games.
"You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games," he says on the audio. (Click here for the full story)

Comedy Central comedian Daniel Tosh had his own perspective on the incident, taking to Twitter to make a joke.

How do you feel that the joke represents Alabamians?
Update: Daniel Tosh joked about the Tuscaloosa tornadoes back in 2011 and encouraged viewers to donate to the Red Cross to support relief efforts. Tosh has several Alabama writers on staff, according to an AL.com article.

Yep.  And they're making sure we all stay updated on Jason Smith, who smoked some gunji while at JC.

Any evidence other than the shirt is maroonish?

The color of his shirt in the mugshot is the same color as the team he coached.

He was supposedly arrested at the game.

Don't think we can count this one.
