Hartselle man charged with Decatur shootingPublished 11:40am Wednesday, December 25, 2013 CommentsA Hartselle man turned himself into Decatur Police Tuesday after being he was accused of shooting into a Decatur residence in September.James Edward Holmon, 56, of 1108 Roan Road NE in Hartselle was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling. He was taken to the Decatur City Jail and later transferred to the Morgan County Jail on a $5,000 bond.The charges stem from a shooting incident at 2421 Gaslight Place SW, Apartment 5 in Decatur Sept. 16 . The resident, Tassheena Woods, and several of her friends were in the living room of her apartment when a black four door pickup truck stopped in front of the apartment.A white male with a grey beard wearing a baseball hat was described as the driver of the truck. The male pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times striking the apartment.Decatur Police issued a warrant for Holmon’s arrest following the investigation.
