I must say that Governor character absolutely disturbs the hell out of me not even knowing his back-story and the fate of those Nat. Guardsmen (especially the chopper pilot) has really disturbed my calm this week as much as that creepy little town of Woodbury...I'm with Michone ( ?...not sure of the names) who wants to get the hell out of there...show might've won me back this time...we'll see...
Interesting that the best episode by far so far didn't included a single one of the the "main characters".

I think I'm tired of Rick, and Carl, and Lori, and Daryl, and T-Dog.

This season has picked up on the gorey zombie action, which is great an all, but I like a good story.

This last episode looks like we're finally getting to some of that.

I haven't read the comics, and avoid spoilers, but I have seen a picture of the Governor, and how the fuck did they not cast Danny Trejo?

Like I said, I'm not loyal to the comics or anything, and I get that this series in particular strays quite a bit from the source material, but damn.

...

I have to agree with you on all points there...of course not having read the graphic novels I won't comment on that other than to say that it is good that the tv series strays from that story line somewhat; keeps the graphic novel readers hooked too and keeps the spoilers under some control.

AMC's Governor creeps me out a lot more than Mad Max Mexican Governor does.

The Gov's backstory is actually a stand alone story - not in comic form. And it is not tracking at all with the show.  But it is as creepy as a wall full of floating heads.

If any one wants to read it, let me know.

I am a bit put off with the Michone character. Could she give the sideways angry black woman glare one more time?  I get that she is suspicious but find another way to demonstrate it, please.

Her backstory is also good - it is in comic form, and so far it is spot on. I hope she gets a chance to kick more ass.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I have/had high hopes based on what I knew.  But she doesn't have enough lines... and again, all.  she.  does. is give that sideways angry black woman "I wanna fuck you up" glare at the Governor - and while she is right to be suspicious, holy crap, find another expression...

I'd like to see her take that katana to the head of the Gov and then put him in an aquarium.

And, yes, I admit she's got the looks that I like...Sani and Lurking Tiger know about my "affliction".  So I read a little about her character's back-story on teh Wikis...she's an Attorney?!  Did I read that correctly?!  You could have knocked me over with a feather.  I would have taken her for a Shinkendo/Muay Farang/MMA professional...I guess she could be boff...anyway, I think she's provocative...in an alluring way...it's an affliction.

She is a bit too "diary of a mad black woman."  Why the extreme distrust for the town?  I understand it was a rocky start, but Andrea could easily explain that Merle was just being Merle.  It's like Michone automatically knows the Governor is crazy, and there's no reason to suspect that besides being a schizo in a zombie-infested world.
