Perhaps, another storyline from the beginning with different characters...  With more testosterone and less estrogen...  Who don't become unhinged every time they chip a nail or stub their toe.

At the end of Season 2 and with the intent to stick around to maybe see what happens in Season 3, it's time to give out some Walkies, the Walking Dead version of the Oscars.

The Walkie for Worst Parent of the Apocalypse goes to...

Lori.

How many times is she going to let that twat nosed brat of hers wander around without supervision?  If there's a zombie infestation I'm sticking close by my kids.

The Walkie for Biggest Plot Lapse goes to...

Herschel.

Two weeks ago he said he had a bunker big enough for everybody and supplies stocked away for weeks.  So when the herd advances on the farm he fails to remember this safety zone?  Brilliant.

The Walkie for Circuitous Advancement goes to ...

Shane.

Going to kill Rick, so you walk him around in a big ass circle and lead him right back into view of the fucking farmhouse?  No.  You kill him in the woods, leave his body and you damn sure don't talk about it first.   Pop.  Done.  Walker got him Lori, now slide out of them jeans.   Badly scripted, though the moonlight backdrop was pretty.

The Walkie for Biggest Daffy Duck Moment goes to...

Carl.

Never have I hated a child in a show more than I loathe this one.  I spend half of every episode urging one character or another to "shoot him, shoot him now."  And then in my head I hear Daffy Duck telling Fudd "shoot him, shoot him now" in that classic Bugs Bunny cartoon.  I laugh for no reason and people think me insane.

The Walkie for Worst Artificial Racism goes to

Darryl.

Had to drop in a line about Asian drivers this week to remind us that Darryl is still a redneck.  Rednecks like nothing better than making fun of Asians, Jews, Foreigners.

Sort of hate that the entire second season was apparently nothing more than a drawn out preview for Season 3.  But now we've got hooded black chicks with walkers in chains.   That gives me hope because Tito now has a romantic interest and the slave zombies seems like a cool way to resolve that issue.

Nine million watched...

And I'm not sure why.  Other than the zombie (along with vampire) fascination this country has now.

I thought this last one was the best yet. Its def taking a dark turn. I watched The Talking Dead afterwards and the writer indicates this too. The hooded stranger got my attention and it seems we're about to see a Ricktadorship.

There are only 3 shows I set my DVR for if I am not going to watch live and Walking Dead is one of them.  It is a good show.

From what I expect from "The Governor" the Ricktadorship will be very short lived.

No, the hooded chick is Michonne.

The governor has been cast, and it's actor David Morrissey.

I mean, its not BAD. Its like any other good show that started out ok with a good premise and then went into the character relationships/drama foremost. House, ER, Grey's Anatomy all come to mind. House was fantastic until they ruined it with the same kind of character drama. When House was JUST diagnosing people, and kicking ass/taking names in the ER - it was on. Now, its like "who will he fuck next week and will Becky get mad about it since she liked him one time in the past, except for the part where he reminds her of this other boyfriend she had that beat her". Oh btw, he has to fix someone at the hospital for 5 mins of the show.  I really really hope Breaking Bad doesn't do this in this new season.

I was beginning to get irritated with some of the storyline but I'll have to say, they finally seem to have gotten out of the funk. The last two episodes have been much better and it seems season 13 has much gooder promise.

I read there will be 16 episodes for next season.

I can understand that.  I was getting aggravated too.  From what I have read though, next season is going to be amazing.  Non-Stop craziness.   The governor, Michonne, etc...

The one thing that pissed me off about last episode was when Rick was explaining to his wife what happened to Shane...She got pissed off.  What the fuck?  She pushed him to do it, did she not?  What the fuck is her problem?  Is she mad because Carl shot him? Is she mad because he withheld the secret about everyone being infected?  If she is mad because he killed Shane, then she should be shot for being dumb.   Maybe someone who read the comics can explain it to me so that I'm not completely confused. (without spoilers)

I agree. I can't wait to see Lori get axed. I got a little pissy though because Rick did a horrible job of explaining what happened in the field. "Shane was going to kill me but I killed the motherfucker first" would have been better; plain and simple.

Without spoiling the comic, or future storylines on the show, it's very similar, up until Rick finds the survivors outside Atlanta, but then the TV show goes in a different direction.
