Auburn fans -- or others for that matter -- looking for clues as to the statuse of Auburn quarterback Cam Newton for today's game against Georgia may have their first clue:

Newton -- a very animated Newton -- took part in Auburn's Tiger Walk. he also walked onto Pat Dye Field with the other Auburn players in the pregame ritual. When his image was shown participating in Tiger Walk the student section, watching the event live on the Jordan-Hare Stadium videoboard, cheered loudly. Those cheers were repeated and intensified when Newton made his way onto the field, where he encouraged the crowd to cheer. They responded with louder cheers.
