The Man Behind the Curtain...
« on: November 09, 2010, 03:45:21 PM »
So, who is pushing these non-stories?

Is it Meyer?  He is staring down the barrel ($1 to SPUAT) of facing Newton in the SECCG.  He will lose, in spectacular fashion, to the kid he let get away in the same season that his Gaytors are fumbling their way through a pretty bad SEC-E.  Is Meyer attempting to smear Cam so that he can give a big "I told you so!" to the UF faithful?  Is he just trying to weaken his competition with distractions and psuedo-scandal?

Or...

Is it too easy to blame Meyer and UF?  If the cheating allegations were true, and Meyer did nothing, would it endanger UF? If leaking Cams academic records would violate Federal law, would it endanger UF?  Is Meyer so short-sighted that he would burn down his own house in the process of trying to bring Cam down?  Perhaps the source of all this controversy is (cue the black helicopters)...SPUAT.

The Thamel/Evans/NYT connection is still staring everyone in the face.  Finebaum blew the story up around these parts.  This has the smell of our annual bammer-induced rumor.  The timing is convenient...

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Until this last round of articles, I was still convinced that it started with the west vancesters.
However, CUM in his "vehement" denials earlier today made it a point to say that there were "several" academic issues with Cam.  Now that the officials have spoken on the condition of anonymity from within the academic council, there are only a select few that would have know this to be true and most of them work in the same building in Gainesville.

We crashed their new tradition of meeting in ATL?

Nah, too much coordination necessary, I think.  Bammer has a playbook and they work it.

I've never understood the CUM connestion myself; however, this man has never been one to use self-control.  Remember him flying off the handle prior to getting facts about Tiger Prowl?  Anyone see the not very publicized throwing off on a reporter prior during a press conference?  Actually threatened the guy if I'm not mistaken.  How did ole Bourbon Meyer handle that Kerwin Bell situation?  Let's see, Bell analyzed a game on his radio show and broke down Florida's strenghts and weaknesses and I believe Coach Cryer banned him from the UF program.

This is NOT a stable man, people.  I have no idea what axe he has to grind with AU, Cameron Newton or if he's even remotley a part of this whole thing.  I just know he comes off as being two forks short of a place setting to me.

while it does not seem to originate from West Vance...........the continuation of the story along with the leaving out of certain facts, has the REC fingerprints all over it.

Did they start it?  Maybe (who was John Bond talking to before he talked to EsPN?  Doesn't Rodgers have some Birmingham connections/associations?  That town smells....BAD!).............. Maybe not.

They have a hand in it continuing to be "national" news and they have a hand in the "slant"

yep........thus my comment that it does not originate in West Vance................

but these "allegations" have so many easily found holes in them......why does the "national media" continue to ignore them?  Who has some if not a lot of influence there?

Who did Bond talk to before going to EsPN?  Why and how did Rodgers get pulled into this?

Simply put:  The REC is definitely guilty of "piling on"...........they shall receive their penalty the day after Thanksgiving.
