The customer is always... hey, fudge the customer

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/08/11/3-managers-out-after-lowe-store-fulfills-customer-request-for-no-black-drivers/?intcmp=ob_article_footer_text&intcmp=obnetwork

Lowes managers fired for complying with a customer's request.

A white woman asked that the people who delivered the merchandise she bought not be black because she would be uncomfortable with them in her home.

Whatever her thought process, whatever her motivations she has an absolute right to deny access to her home to anyone for any reason.

"We have no tolerance for discrimination of any kind," Lowes spokesman Steve Salazar said in a statement.

Oh really?  So no one who has any racial biases may shop at Lowes?  Are they going to refuse service to anyone who appears to be prejudiced?

Lowes driver Black Marcus Bradley said he didn’t expect his employer to accept the customer’s demand.
“I mean, I thought that Lowe’s would take up for me,” he said.

Oh really? What is to "take up for"?  You're a fudgeing shifty ass looking delivery driver with a lazy eye.  You're going to get paid the same regardless. So go deliver to somebody else, accept the woman's wishes and move on with your shiftless fudgeing life.  You've been a delivery driver for Lowes for eleven years. You've gotta install microwave ovens,  custom kitchen deliveries. You gotta move those refrigerators, you gotta move those color T.V.'s.  You shoulda learned to play the guitar.  fudgehole.

"To me, it just ain't right for a business that we work at to go along with the woman's wishes," white Lowes worker Alex Brooks said.

Oh really?  Did they tell the woman they couldn't sell anything to her?

A reporter confronted the homeowner who instructed Lowe’s not to send a black employee to her home. Asked to explain her side of the story, she adamantly defended her actions. “I got a right to have whatever I want and that’s it,” she said. The woman, who declined to be identified, added that she had no regrets after making a white-driver-only request. “No, I don’t feel bad about nothing,” she said.

Damn right.  She shouldn't feel bad.  She's got a right to ask for whatever she wants.

This horseshootty response from Lowes makes me want to projectile vomit.

Diversity and inclusion is a core value at Lowe’s. The situation brought to our attention was troubling and an investigation was immediately undertaken. Under no circumstances should a discriminatory delivery request be honored as it is inconsistent with our diversity and inclusion core values and the request should have been refused. The investigation has concluded and the individuals involved are no longer with company.

fudge you, Lowes.  What gives you the right to impose on the comfort and convenience of a customer?  She didn't want black men in her house.  Big fudgeing deal.

When I go to the spa, I don't want a dude massaging me. I don't want a black woman doing it either. That is my right.  At what point will I lose the ability to request a female of a specific gender because I must follow somebody else's arbitrary "diversity and inclusion core values"?

This pisses me off to no end.  fudge Lowes.  I've spent my last fudgeing dime in that shootbag of a store.

Good thing Black Marcus Bradley wasn't permitted to deliver the goods.

This is one of those where I can see both sides.

She can refuse to want blacks in her house. But Lowe's can also refuse to deny that wish because they would be discriminating against their own employees based off color solely. Its also an optional service. No one is making her buy anything there. One of those situations where you could say "that sounds like your issue not ours....our service involves delivering goods to your door and we use fist available crews no matter what their color is". You shop at their store, its their rules not yours generally speaking as far as their goods and services policies.

Ive gotten a couple of things delivered and Ive rarely been able to stipulate ANY conditions much less the color of the people delivering it. Agree with the principle or not, it is what it is.

That said....Should they have fired him? Probably not. Im not sure the mgr meant anything by it malicious. Seems like a PR move by Lowe's. Imagine this news getting out and the manager still being employed.....holy shoot. Sharpton and his ilk would be in Charlotte protesting at Lowe's HQ, boycotting, etc etc. All kinds of bad press over something very minor. They nipped it. I don't agree with it but I know why they did it.

As everything else of this nature, both sides could have handled better and a lot is being magnified by the media/PC Police.

1. I smell a wrongful termination case here, assuming there isn't more to the story. Trying to please a weird request from a customer shouldn't get one fired. Who did that hurt? I would imagine the black driver just stayed back at the store.

2. The mere fact that the poster admitted that he goes to a spa indicates that he is very gay, so why even try to pretend that he requests females of a certain ethnic persuasion? We already know it's Asian boys.

3. Does the poster realize that Home Depot is owned by the Jews? He will have to plant his own tree farm in order to get a 2x4.

I'd be fine with Lowes driver Black Marcus Bradley delivering to my house.  The name seems like overkill, though.

He did other deliveries.  Apparently was mad he couldn't go scope out this old lady's house so his gang could thieve her shoot later.

Nope.  Not into K-Pop.  I like the spa treatments once or twice a year.  Mostly the steam area and whatnot.  I want a white woman or a hispanic woman to do the massage parts.  Or asian.  I'll take asian woman.

I'm okay with the Jews.  I don't like buying from the A-rabs though.

Lowes definitely wussed out on this one if that's the only reason that they fired the manager.

Like GH said, it's a PR move. And I understand PR moves.

Two things that I'm wondering are how this even became a story anyway? Who called the TV station? That mofo needs to be fired.

And, who gave the TV station the contact info for them to be able to interview the customer? That bitch needs to be double fired.

From what I read, Black Marcus Bradley called Lowes corporate and complained.

They overreacted and made it public.

He also gave up the name of the customer as I understand it.

If what you're saying is correct, then it would seem to me that it's definitely a PR ploy by Lowes, thinking that there are more people who would applaud their firing this mgr because they are such a progressive company. Initially, I suspected that they were reacting to the story getting out but they could've actually been the one to release this, which would make it even worse.

Home Depot is closer for me anyway.

It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Without your help, the missing link will never have the forehead he needs to fit into normal society.  He and many others like him will continue to look like cave men or some disgusting cross between a hyena

and a tapir

When you shop at Home Depot, two cents of every dollar will be donated to the "Cure the Ugly Ass Fund."  Your donations will go to help these cave men get much needed forehead reduction surgery, have gum-reduction procedures and free suit removals.*   Please help.  Stop the suffering.

*Applies only to steroid-fueled enormous forehead participants in the University of Alabama football program.  For those with strong stomachs, take a look at Derrick Henry for further examples.
