Agree with most of K's criticisms of the pilot.

I think they fudgeed up by focusing on one family (full of insipid characters) rather than a few disparate individuals.  The writers could have still shown how the initial incidents/attacks crept into the public consciousness without showing a family with a full blown case of myopia due to a junkie's past behavior.

Hopefully the next few episodes will be tales of other characters because I probably won't watch an entire season built around these yahoos.
